Italian progressive rock bands

Despite most of the bands under the spotlights in progressive rock were british, important scenes emerged in certain european countries, which ended up yielding very particular musical approaches. These unique regional features are sometimes even classified as prog subgenres. Italian prog rock is perhaps the most outstanding among these groups.
